Following a major expansion in Mexico, involving the acquisition and construction of several new facilities, a manufacturing organisation asked NYA to conduct a complete review of their in-country security procedures. We quickly identified that expatriate staff, their dependents and local national staff did not have an adequate understanding of the types of risks they might face in their specific locations and the rest of Mexico.
NYA carried out a country-wide security assessment programme, conducting a site security review at each location and providing detailed personal security awareness for all members of staff. This was followed by a security and crisis management training session for the local management. This provided the company with a cohesive, country-wide approach and helped ensure that they were better equipped to handle any potential security threats.
NYA subsequently carried out the same process for the client in several other Latin American countries.
